Paul V. Thompson, EA, ABA, ATA, ARA, has been a tax and accounting professional for over 35 years and specializes in advising small and medium size businesses and individuals. He is the principal at Premier Accounting & Tax, Inc., with locations in Alexandria and Stafford, Virginia. Mr. Thompson has been a speaker on tax and accounting issues for several professional organizations and has participated in Q & A on tax issues with the Washington Post as well as written articles for local newspapers and community newsletters. He has served as Chair of Federal Taxation Committee with the National Society of Accountants and has participated in meetings with the IRS in Washington D.C. to discuss the tax issues relative to small businesses and individual taxes. He was honored as Accountant of the Year in 2011 by the National Society of Accountants. His “Top Twelve Business Strategies of Businesses” and “Ten Excellent Tax Savings Strategies for Individuals” was released to the national media and published by many organizations over the United States. He is a past President of the Missouri Society of Accountants (1999-2000) and past President of the Accountant's Society of Virginia (2014-2016).
