Lynn Fountain

LynnFountain_web.pngLynn Fountain has over 38 years of experience spanning public accounting, corporate accounting and consulting. 20 years of her experience has been working in the areas of internal and external auditing and risk management. She is a subject matter expert in multiple fields including internal audit, ethics, fraud evaluations, Sarbanes-Oxley, enterprise risk management, governance, financial management and compliance. Lynn has held two Chief Audit Executive (CAE) positions for international companies. In one of her roles as CAE, she assisted in the investigation of a multi-million-dollar fraud scheme perpetrated by a vendor that spanned 7 years and implicated 20 employees. The fraud was formally investigation by the FBI and resulted in 5 indictments estimating a $13M fraud loss. 

Ms. Fountain is currently engaged in her own consulting and training practice. She is a highly sought-after trainer and international speaker. In addition, Ms. Fountain has assisted numerous companies with enterprise risk management frameworks, internal audit processes and financial accounting. She also serves as a discussion leader for the AICPA for numerous classes finance, accounting and risk management topics.

Melisa F. Galasso, CPA

MelisaGalasso_web.pngA Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience, Melisa is an Audit Professional Practices Director at Cherry Bekaert LLP. In this role, she assists with technical issues and quality control of the Firm’s assurance services practice. Melisa serves as the technical liaison to the Firm’s Not-For-Profit, Education and Government Services industry groups. She also works in the Firm’s training department developing Continuing Professional Education ranging from newsletter articles to webinars. Melisa monitors regulatory bodies including the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Government Accounting Standards Board and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for changes in auditing and accounting guidance and assists the Firm in implementing the updated guidance. She has served a broad range of clients in a variety of industries, including government, not-for-profit, and manufacturing.

Melisa has considerable teaching experience. She serves as a Lead Instructor for Becker Professional Development, and is a frequent speaker for the NCACPA, AICPA, VSCPA and other organizations. She has won several awards for her classes including the NCACPA Don Farmer award, which recognizes a seminar discussion leader with the highest combined average scores on knowledge, skills, and materials from participant evaluations, for all courses taught in a technical area. Prior to joining the Firm, Melisa worked as an accounting manager for SPP America, Inc., and as an adjunct professorial lecturer at Georgetown University.


Pat Patterson

PatPatterson_web.pngPat is an award winning, nationally recognized author, speaker and discussion leader for continuing education courses and numerous state societies. He has experience at the local and national CPA firm level and as an adjunct university professor.

Patterson holds an MBA from the University of North Florida and is a CPA with Patterson CPA Group, Inc.

His firm provides accounting, consulting, and tax preparation services. The AICPA has recognized the firm for work in the "virtual office" field.

Patterson is a member of the AICPA Council, the FICPA Board of Governors, as well as numerous other committees and sections, and is a member of the FICPA Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. He has been named an FICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader and has received the FICPA's Writing Excellence Award. He has also received the New York Society of CPAs' Distinguished Discussion Leader Award.


Steven G. Siegel

StevenSeigel_web.pngSteve Siegel is president of The Siegel Group, a Morristown, New Jersey-based national consulting firm specializing in tax consulting, estate planning and advising family business owners and entrepreneurs. He holds a B.S. from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University.

Mr. Siegel is the author of several books, including the Grantor Trust Answer Book published by Wolters Kluwer, and is a nationally-recognized writer and speaker who has lectured extensively throughout the United States on tax, business and estate planning topics. Mr. Siegel has served as an adjunct professor of law at Seton Hall and Rutgers University law schools.


Greg White, CPA

GregWhite_web.pngGreg White, CPA, is an adjunct professor for Golden Gate University. He’s admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. White is a founder and shareholder, WGN PS. He has been named a Top 50 IRS Representation Practitioners in the U.S. by CPA Magazine and has taught for a number of professional organizations. Greg enjoys the technical side of tax, but also likes to have fun in class.
