Seeking a detail oriented accounting manager who has experience with multi-family, affordable housing. The successful candidate will: (1) have a working knowledge of GAAP, financial internal controls, and audit paperwork preparation; (2) be skilled in processing in-house payroll, leave tracking, payroll deductions, payroll tax calculations; (3) reconcile banking and investment statements monthly; (4) work with in-house financial staff and outside accountants to file the company's annual financial report with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; (5) take responsibility for tenant and vendor financial issues and make sure they are solved.

The successful candidate should be able to write clean, error-free correspondence. This is a senior management track job with room for growth for the right candidate.

What We're Looking for

• A Bachelors Degree in Accounting with coursework in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience (May consider 4 years of uninterrupted experience in combination with college or university coursework of 32+ credits in Accounting/Finance.)
• A track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ownership groups and vendors
• Proficiency with accounting/inventory software and Microsoft Office
• Strong financial skills with a basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• A professional appearance
