Some return preparers have received letters from the IRS with respect to returns they prepared during the most recent filing season. There are a variety of reasons they received this letter, including that a large percentage of their returns had particular Schedules attached and the IRS knows that many such Schedules (though not necessarily the particular Schedules prepared by the specific preparer) have common errors.
