In Savannah, Georgia at the National Society of Accountants (NSA) Board of Governors (BOG) meeting, I announced my candidacy for the office of 2nd Vice President of the National Society of Accountants. This was the 27th straight BOG meeting that I attended (three meetings a year for four years when my spouse Christine was Governor of District III, three times a year for four years when I was Governor of District III, and the last year I have attended all the BOG meetings since stepping down after having the privilege and duties of care, loyalty and obedience in serving all NSA members for two years as Senior Governor).
The theme for my campaign and for my year serving NSA as 2nd VP, if elected, is "Committed to Your Success." Wanda Samek used this same theme for her campaign and presidency, and as such, is a nod to her success as a president and member of NSA. Wanda is one of my role models and served NSA at a time when her talents were sorely needed.
Three other NSA members announced their candidacy at the Savannah BOG meeting: Kathy Hettick, Linda Cuddie, and Marilyn Niwao. The four way election in Maui should be very exciting. I am looking forward to campaigning with these three able candidates.
