Curt Lee, ATA, ATP, is the owner of his accounting practice in Raleigh, NC, C B Lee & Company, for 34 years. He is an active member of several organizations including the National Society of Accountants and the North Carolina Society of Accountants.
He has held numerous positions with both organizations & most recently served as the Administrative Chair-Right to Practice for the National Society of Accountants from 2010-2015. He has served as NSA State Director for North Carolina since 2008 and has been involved in the legislative affairs in North Carolina since 1988. He has served as Legislative Chair in NC since 1996 protecting the rights of unlicensed accountants.
He has received many awards & honors since starting his practice.(see below).
He chaired the Meredith College Golf Tournament for numerous years responsible for raising funds for the scholarship foundation for students in need of assistance with tuition.
In addition he has been an instructor for the North Carolina State University Income Tax Schools since 2005 reaching over 1,800 tax practitioners each year. He has traveled across the country speaking and promoting NSA at many ASO meetings and conferences from 2005 to present. He is a Quick Books Pro Advisor. He also travels extensively in North Carolina and across the nation speaking about practice rights of unlicensed accountants and promoting the value of memberships in the ASO & NSA.
Curt is passionate about his role in the right to practice area and devotes much time and effort to this cause. The legislative efforts of the Right to Practice committees is one of the greatest benefits of membership in NSA.
In his spare time he enjoys golfing, boating, and spending time at the coast with friends.
