Social Security: Basics to Maximizing Strategies

July 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM EDT, 1:00 PM CDT, 12:00 PM MDT, 11:00 AM PDT

Let's find out how much of what you think you know about Social Security is correct.  This webinar will cover information from the most basic to the most sophisticated in a humorous and reasoned presentation from who, besides the worker, can receive benefits, including divorced spouses; filing options before, at and after full retirement age; maximizing strategies; and  how work affects payments and benefits.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Explain basic eligibility and how payments are calculated.
  • Identify who might be eligible on your client's social security record and when.
  • Help your clients understand what happens when they take their payments at a particular age, and more importantly, how they can increase their payout.
  • Answer questions about those maximizing strategies in the news.

Our presenter will also offer other information about survivors, disability and Medicare. Additional resources will be furnished.
