Taxes & the Windy City: Chicago IRS Tax Forum

Well here I am in San Jose, CA waiting on a flight to Chicago so that I can meet up with Tina Lee and present at the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum being held there Tuesday through Thursday August 21- 23. If you haven’t registered yet you may still register at the door.

If you have registered I hope you are ready for a knowledge filled 3 days and the opportunity to talk directly to the IRS as they are giving several presentations on subjects near and dear to all our hearts; stuff you’ll find in audit!

And hey, you can check out the presentations by Tina and me on the Real World Issues of Schedule D and E. We are both excited to meet you and invite you to the National Society of Accountants booth in the exhibit hall.  Whether you are a member or not, you will find some great information and possibly discover that you do need to be a member to enjoy some of NSA’s great opportunities and benefits.

You'll find us at Booth #511 in the exhibit hall. Click here to view exhibiting hours so you can plan accordingly.

NSA staff members Carolyn Walker and Kristi Lane will be on hand to help you join or renew your membership. The Illinois NSA State Director Robert Thoma will also be there to greet you. Robert has 25 years of membership with NSA and has a practice in Columbia, IL. So stop by and say hi!

For those of you needing to pass your RTRP exam stop and talk to either Tina or I about our experience taking the exam. We are both EA’s and didn’t have a requirement to test but the speaker team made a commitment to be able to assist anyone with questions about the exam by actually having a personal experience. Yes, I
really did pass the exam if you were curious; so did Tina!

Well, my flight is boarding so I will look forward to seeing you in the windy city! Chicago here we come!
