Ethical Dilemmas

October 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM EDT, 1:00 PM CDT, 12:00 PM MDT, 11:00 AM PDT

The unique nature of representation engagements lend themselves to difficult ethical issues, well beyond the relative safety of mainstream tax practice. This interactive course covers a myriad of regulations and requirements, including the latest changes to Circular 230, as well as case studies of common ethical dilemmas faced by tax practitioners. Focused on ethical issues specific to representation, topics include: due diligence, conflicting interests, information to be furnished, prompt disposition of pending matters, disreputable conduct, and privacy and disclosure of client information.
