Accounting Pronouncements Impacting the Small Firm Practitioner
Get an overview of the latest SSARS and ARSC pronouncements impacting your practice. We'll discuss:
  • issues involving reporting, independence, engagement letters,
  • required supporting work papers for compilation and review engagements,
  • the new “Financial Reporting Framework” introduced by the AICPA in Summer 2013 as a substitute basis of accounting when the income tax basis doesn’t serve the best needs of the client.
Sample financial statements will be provided in the manual using a multitude of different basis of accounting.

At the conclusion of this class, you will be able to:
  • Determine how the most recent SSARS pronouncements and proposals impact small practitioners.
