This webinar will provide attendees with an update regarding the latest developments in the tax controversy area. The program will focus on current Internal Revenue Service enforcement priorities, including international tax compliance and the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP); the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA); foreign bank account (FBAR) reporting, the new FinCEN 114 reporting form, and the new electronic filing requirements; audit rates and trends; the Form 1099-K/Small business initiative; the Gift Tax Return Compliance initiative. Attendees will also receive an update regarding the efforts of the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, including current criminal enforcement priorities and criminal investigation statistics/results. Finally, the webinar will provide a description of current IRS collection efforts, including recent developments in collection mechanisms and collection statistics/results.
