There is nothing quite like Vegas! Every year it is simply amazing to see all the people, young and old, from all over the world wondering the streets, seeing the sites, the shows, and of course, spending time in the casinos.
What is even more amazing is the energy that 6500 tax practitioners create in a conference! The IRS Tax Forum was a great success, with all the attendees bringing their excitement , knowledge, and open minds to the conference. Just being a part of the group of tax practitioners in Vegas was nothing short of inspiring. We are in the middle of the biggest change ever in our profession, and despite some confusion, frustration, and a moving target, the overall attitude is positive! We are a profession of individuals that want to do the right thing, that want to serve our clients in the best way possible, and that want to learn and grow to better understand tax law.
It is always such an honor and privilege to speak with Gene Bell... and fun! We hit the mark this year presenting our Schedule D & Schedule E sessions, with all the changes and new reporting requirements to those forms. As Gene mentioned, we also clarified the facts that Gene is not my husband or my Dad!
